experience and win up to $500*

Capture, describe, dramatize, document your experience at UH Manoa through:

  • art
  • storytelling
  • essay
  • poster
  • music
  • theatre
  • video
  • t-shirt design
  • dance
  • poetry
  • photography

    Submit an essay describing your most memorable experience, a poster or photo that captures the essence of student life at Manoa, a poem or song that expresses your feelings about this place, a model, carving, t-shirt design, video, skit, interpretive dance—however, you express yourself best!

    Prizes will be awarded for the entries that best capture important and compelling aspects of student life. Judging criteria include: sincerity, originality, creativity, authenticity and passion.

    Six $100 prizes* will be awarded; the Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 prize!*

    Winners will be announced at the Manoa Arts Festival (McCarthy Mall) on October 20, 2011.

    Entries must be submitted by classified UH Manoa students. Every applicant will receive a Manoa Experience t-shirt.

    Entry Deadline: Thursday, October 13, 2011, 4:00 pm; Hawai‘i Hall 209 with attached application form
